When I first began my search for a pet sitter, I really had no idea what to expect. I knew I wanted something more than a “dog” kennel: a situation in which my dogs would feel less stressful when I was away. I always felt dreadfully guilty when I picked up my doggies at the kennel and they tackled me to the ground indicating they had missed me far too much!
Along came Karin Mingels-aka The Dog Whisperer. This woman is the ultimate dog and cat nanny! The services Karin provides to your pet (and you) will far surpass your expectations. In this day and age where the term “service” rarely means anything, this woman is the very definition of the word. Karin goes above and beyond just caring for the basic needs of your pet(s). Additionally, her vast veterinary knowledge of canines and felines assures you that your nonhuman family members will receive the best care (far beyond what they would receive in a kennel).
When Karin first pet sat for me, she noted that one of my dogs had a bad ear infection. Karin took it upon herself to religiously clean “Norton’s”ears each and every day. In fact she brought some of her own supplies to aid her! Additionally, she cut both dogs toenails! Furthermore, at the end of the meticulous notes that she left me advising me about each visit, she notified me that she had changed and replace the cat litter (something I definitely had not asked or expected her to do). You’ll find she does these little things all the time. She spent quality time with my critters and even brought in the mail and newspapers.
Karin takes her business very seriously while pouring her love and affection over your pets. Having read other letters of reference for Karin, I thought, “Hey, this sounds too good to be true.” It isn’t. I hope Karin will be caring for my pets for many, many, years to come. She is certainly a dream come true. Now I can have that vacation or weekend getaway and know that the animals I love so much are enjoying themselves as much as I!

I want to take this opportunity to express to you how overwhelmingly pleased I am in such a short time with your pet services.
I had such a good feeling about you when we first met and I could tell in an instant my dog Lea felt the same. Your attention to my dogs very specific need sue to her many physical handicaps has made a world of difference for her as well. Your gentle walks with her and mild aerobic exercise has caused me to rethink my ideas of having her evaluated again for possible additional orthopedic surgery to her front elbow and hindquarters. Her motion range of her limbs has improved significantly since you started your work with her.
In addition to the above, I must say, again, how very happy I am with your service. In particular, your Pet Sitting services. Being away recently for seventeen days and having to leave my dog behind was very difficult decision for me. I worry that my pet will suffer from being alone for so long. In the past, I have used two other Pet Sitting services for her care as well as two other dogs I previously had. I had used both services may times and was beginning to realize that my dog does indeed suffer from my absence for so long. I would arrive home and find my dog very quiet and unemotional. It would take a few days for her to get back on track. Much to my amazement, this time, I very quickly learned that I had wronged my dog, Lea and my other dogs by using the other two local services. This time around, I came home to a very happy, content animal. She was excited to see me, was not absent of emotion and very quickly was back in her old routine with me. Secondly, your care for my home, my plants, my fish....Terrific”

We wanted to thank you for always taking such great care of Fresco. In the two years that you have been walking him, you have become completely invaluable to us. With both of us working in the city, it really puts our minds at ease knowing that we can count on someone so caring and responsible to be there for our little guy during the week. We are especially grateful for the occasions when he hasn’t felt well and you took the extra time with him, to give us a call and even returned to the house on the same day to check up on him again.....you definitely go above and beyond the call of duty. And we know Fresco just adores you....not only does he get lots of exercise, bathroom breaks and fresh water, but from what we can gather from your daily update notes, he gets a lot of extra attention, playtime and cuddles!
